Erica Hattings is delighted to be a part of the Sonder Home Team with eXp. She understands the difference between a house, and a physical structure, versus a home, a place where family and friends create a life. By using her experience in sales, data analysis, negotiations, and architectural studies, she collaborates with clients to ensure their sales or purchases go smoothly. When we work together, we can achieve your real estate dreams.
Erica is a Connecticut native whose ancestors arrived in New England in 1637; with the influence of her ancestry and growing up outside of New York City she appreciates tradition, place, history, and culture while embracing progress, innovation, creativity, and opportunity. In 2013, Erica moved to Charleston with her son, daughter, and two dogs to live in the beautiful, vibrant city that values its history and traditions and promotes its economic and social progress.
Prior to moving to Charleston, Erica was a Public Relations Officer and Historic Restoration Special Projects Coordinator for a high-performing Charter School in Hartford, CT, and a Real Estate Agent, specializing in Antique Home Sales, Buyer Representation, and Home Staging, throughout Connecticut. Before joining the Sonder Home Team in Charleston, she was a Client Satisfaction Specialist for Rick Hendrick BMW and an Audit Analyst for Benefitfocus.
Erica’s studies and hobbies reflect her love for culture, community, and the great outdoors. She received her B.A. in History and Criticism of Art and Architecture from Florida State University and her M.A. in Museum and Gallery Management, focused on Visitor Services and the impact of museums and cultural institutions on the local community and society, from City, University of London. She is a member of the Lowcountry Phi Beta Kappa Society and the historic Unitarian Church in Charleston, where she is a docent for the historic Sanctuary. Erica also works weekends as a member of the Visitor Experience Team at the International African American Museums. When she isn’t volunteering or working, Erica spends time with her family and friends visiting museums and galleries (especially Charleston’s First Friday Art Walks), taking road trips to sightsee and experience local flavor, and attending live performances. She also loves to bake, hike, kayak, create art, and go to the beach or woods with her children, friends, family, and dogs.
